Students2012 APICS West Coast Case Competition
Lifetime Learning for Lifetime SuccessStudent membership is available to full or part time students
pursuing a degree in production and inventory management, logistics,
operations, or a related field at an accredited college or university.
Annual student membership dues are at the reduced rate of $20.00 Student
members receive the same benefits as individual members plus additional
student-specific benefits such as networking through student chapters,
scholarships, and eligibility for participation in the Scholars
Education Program. Affiliated Student ChaptersAPICS has more than 170 affiliated student chapters on college campuses throughout North America. A student chapter's affiliation with a parent chapter provides students with access to educational programs, networking opportunities, certification exams, and other resources that will help build a stronger career. Scholars Education ProgramThe APICS Scholars Education Program selects students to attend the APICS International Conference and Exposition to serve as educational session aides with expenses fully or partially paid by APICS. Students have the opportunity to attend presentations and meet with featured and educational session speakers, network with conference attendees, and visit the APICS exposition. Educational and Research (E&R) FoundationThe APICS Educational and Research (E&R) Foundation offers many opportunities for students to expand their résumés. Students are eligible for

APICS Career CenterStudent members have full access to the APICS Career Center. They can use the site to get a jump-start on their career by applying for jobs online and posting their résumés online for review by potential employers. Student members can also subscribe to the job alerts service which provides e-mail alerts when new listings are posted that meet specific criteria. APICS Annual International ConferenceStudents pay just $99 to attend the annual APICS International Conference and Exposition. More than 5,000 professionals who come together to explore the latest industry trends and techniques attend this premier event. APICS Certification ProgramsNot only can students pursue an APICS certification program to expand their skill set and become more marketable, they receive college credit for doing so. APICS members pursuing certification enjoy savings averaging 25 percent on certification preparation classes, review materials, and testing fees. Members can more effectively work through the certification process by taking chapter review courses and participating in study groups and on electronic discussion lists. Interesting Fact: According to a recent APICS salary survey, respondents with a CPIM credential earned up to 29 percent more than non-certified professionals.
