How do I become a member of APICS?

A globally respected educational society, APICS offers career-enhancing certification programs and opportunities to develop your leadership skills. When you join APICS, you become part of a network of over 70,000 professionals.

We offer five different types of membership which include Professional, Group or Enterprise, Academic Professional, Student, and Retired. In addition there are 250 local chapters where you can meet and collaborate with members of a local Chapter nearest to you.

The Portland APICS chapter functions independently where we have our own board, dues, and educational offerings. Where we provide for our members and non-members Educational Events, Professional Development Meetings, Web Casts, On and Off Site APICS Training. The types of activities we provide in our chapter include some of the following:

  • Instructor-led certification review classes that help prepare candidates for testing
  • Certification study groups and group testing opportunities
  • Seminars and workshops specific to a particular geographic area and/or industry
  • Plant tours that provide insight into organizational principles and practices
  • Workshops and meetings with allied organizations that enable members to network with colleagues
  • Newsletters and membership directories that keep members informed of upcoming events and connected with one another
  • Job placement services.
