Responsibilities include schedules and coordinates flow of work within and between departments of manufacturing plant to expedite production, (Base, Mix and Blend, Aseptic) according to the master schedule. Modifies production schedule as required by process changes or other factors. Revises schedule according to availability of materials, workers, and production capacity. Assists master production planner in resolving production conflicts and assists in transitioning the Master Schedule to an executable weekly schedule.
This position is not supervisory in nature however, must exercise strong interpersonal skills in planning, influencing, prioritizing and motivating colleagues and/or vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary contact for operations in execution of the weekly production schedule
- Maintains and coordinates activities related to base production, tanker movement, mix and blend coordination, and aseptic packaging
- Attends daily production update meetings and make necessary adjustments within provided systems
- Facilitates weekly scheduling meetings
- Maintains and updates Innatrack data in regards to current week activities and general maintenance regarding data integrity
- Works directly with Master Production Planner in continual development and growth of planning functions within Pacific Foods of Oregon
- Ensure food safety and quality protocols are followed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, engineering, or food science with supply chain coursework.
- Two to four years experience in manufacturing environment; food production preferred. Years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Relevant experience in an MRP environment with knowledge of bill and materials and planning parameters.
