Salary Range: $ 17.94-24.31/hr.
Location: South Water Front.

The Buyer procures equipment, supplies and services, maintains a strong customer service focus, and participates in bidding, contracting, negotiating, problem solving, cost-savings and process improvement activities. This work is performed to help meet customer needs and ensure the financial stability of OHSU.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a closely related field or three (3) more years of relevant experience.
• Two years of purchasing experience which must include using best purchasing practices, procedures, benchmarking, and techniques such as determining specifications, contract negotiation, placing purchase orders, and processing requisitions in a healthcare environment.
• Demonstrates experience using spreadsheets, databases and word processing software; strong problem solving and duty prioritization skills; basic understanding of healthcare and purchasing terminology; experience participating in cost savings or process improvement projects and advanced customer service skills.
• Preferred: Oracle Purchasing Module experience. CPM, CPPB or other applicable national procurement certification.
