The Materials Analyst will be responsible to plan, procure and maintain GMP Raw Materials inventory in accordance with inventory targets for total investment, customer service and loss management. He/She will release blanket purchase orders to key suppliers, create stock transfer requests for internal supply sources and maintain delivery schedules in the ERP system. This successful candidate will apply their knowledge of supply chain management to assure raw material availability to support start-up and production requirements for Genentech's new Fill Finish site in Hillsboro Oregon. They must be able to identify and communicate raw material constraints, collaborate on mitigation strategies, coordinate priorities in procurement, logistics and lot release testing and effectively use ERP business system and integrated MES software for raw material planning and inventory management. The candidate must be able to lead and assist in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of related business processes. This individual must be able to collaborate with Manufacturing, Facilities, Global Planning functions and site support departments and functional groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a focal point for resolving site material planning issues that occur during normal operations
  • Ensure effective integration of system implementations and department processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in management, and/or physical sciences. Masters degree in management and/or supply chain preferred.
  • APICS CPIM or CPM certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing; supply chain discipline (Supply Planning, Materials Planning, or Production Scheduling).
  • Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills with the ability to positively influence key decision-makers.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Project, and ERP (SAP preferred) systems.
