The Buyer will be responsible for managing assigned suppliers for the assigned operation. Evaluate and manage suppliers on cost, quality and on-time delivery as well as managing the roadmap for future requirements coming from either sourcing activities or from NPI activities.

Responsibilities:

• Support the logistics buyer team with escalations, material availability within the agreed-upon world wide strategy and manage sourcing projects as assigned.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the Business Unit(s) are supported with NPI buying capabilities. This position will report to sourcing and procurement and have very close working relation to the Manufacturing, Product Engineering, R&D/EE, and Quality teams.
• As part of the world wide commodity team, coordinate with the Global commodity managers as necessary.
• Act as the owner of the supplier score cards for assigned suppliers.
