Sales & Operations Planning Manager

Adalis is offering an opportunity for a motivated and dynamic Sales & Operations Planning professional. Adalis is a
global packaging and supply chain solutions provider differentiated by innovation, expertise and optimization
capabilities. Position will be located in Vancouver, WA.
Manages and oversees division’s production planning and inventory control functions. This materials
management position is responsible for balancing customer service levels, delivery times, inventory investment, and
manufacturing efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, monitor and control inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-process, packaging components, and finished
goods for all Adalis locations and warehouses worldwide, toll producers and business needs.
- Production planning of line operation
- Truck movement to warehouse of finished goods
- Monitor and manage shipping and receiving function.
- Monitor freight costs targeting overall reductions.
- Responsible for raw material warehousing.
- Monitor and oversee the Adalis E-Store. Initiate and coordinate upgrades, improvement and changes to the
system.
- Direct production scheduling activities to facilitate adequate supply and manufacturing efficiency.
- Responsible for all manufactured finished good product and raw material sourcing decisions (in coordination with
Corporate Sourcing Team).
- Lead the Customer Service team, ensuring consistent levels of excellent customer service at all entities.
- Work with sales force on forecasts and demand trends for individual products.
- Work with Facility Manager on budgeting so that adequate resources are budgeted.
- Work with NBD&C on new product introductions, product line modifications and product discontinuations.
- Coordinate with purchasing on issues such as delivery, quality, and act as back up function in Buyer’s absence.
- Provide information to support capital expenditures and other projects.
- Support Adalis working capital and delivery goals.
- Promote safety awareness and monitor compliance with government and company safety regulations. Ensure
corrective salary measures are immediately acted upon and unsafe conditions are corrected
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or Materials Management)
- MBA or APICS certification preferred.
- 5 years Operations/Materials experience and 2-5 years supervisory experience
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and win the respect of exempt and non-exempt employees.
- Ability to plan demand and inventory for customers located in all areas of the world.
- Strong planning skills with capability of modifying plans in a dynamic environment.
- Solid analytic and computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, internet software, databases, AS400 systems,
materials management programs, email).
- Strong written and verbal communications skills with ability to work with and influence others from different
functional areas.
