Develops and implements “best in class” supply strategies and relationships for assigned commodities. Manages the commercial relationship with suppliers to achieve the lowest cost of ownership for procured products and services taking into account price, delivery, quality, and overall value. Ensures timely access to strategically aligned technologies in support of the company’s dynamic market needs.

Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree in Business, Engineering, or other comparable field of study required.
  • ISM or APICS certification required.
  • Minimum of 5 years Purchasing or commodity experience in a complex manufacturing supply management environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with negotiation of contracts and pricing, knowledgeable on inventory control and stocking methods (Lean experience desired), and capable of creating documentation procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business suite software (office applications). Experience with advanced ERP software (Oracle) preferred.
  • Proven interpersonal skills in dealing with internal customers and suppliers.
