This role is the primary interface between the Supply Chain organization and Operations. Works with Master Scheduling, Purchasing, Logistics, and Operations to ensure that raw materials, packaging, and supplies are on-hand to achieve production; determining the weekly Operations schedule based on the Master Schedule, material availability, and plant capacity; and coordinating flow of material and work between departments. Ensures accurate production data entry, reconciliation, and reporting. This position is part of the Team Leader Development Plan. Assignment length is 24 months. Afterwards, this individual rotates to a team lead or other development position.
Responsibilities:
- Essential Functions:
- Serve as primary contact for operations in execution of the weekly production schedule.
- Maintain and coordinate activities related to base production, tanker movement, mix and blend coordination, and aseptic packaging.
- Lead daily production meetings and make necessary schedule adjustments within provided systems.
- Facilitate weekly scheduling meeting.
- Ensure accurate production completions and issues.
- Develop and implement processes that promote timely reporting, inventory accuracy, and loss reduction.
- Manage material warehouse personnel.
- Work directly with Master Scheduling, Purchasing, Logistics, and Operations to ensure efficient availability of raw materials, bulk ingredients, and supplies using the MRP system to achieve operational and supply chain objectives.
- Oversee daily production reconciliations.
- Identify process improvements needed to achieve objectives.
- Secondary Functions:
- Attend meetings as required.
- Make recommendations for process or production improvement to management.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Supervisory responsibilities:
- Manages activities and staff of Material Movement and Warehouse staff.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Requirements:

- Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering with supply chain coursework; 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment; food production preferred.
- Relevant experience with MRP with knowledge of bill of materials and planning parameters.
- APICS coursework or certification desirable.
