Plant Director
St. Jude Medical Neuromodulation Division
Responsible for the successful building of SJM-NMD product per forecast, plan and operational requirements of the SJM-NMD business. This includes, hiring exempt, non-exempt and hourly staff, training and directing staff and effective coordination of all aspects on production with other functions and departments in SJM-NMD. Also for the formulation of budgets and plans and the successful execution of same.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee process to hire, train, and manage exempt, non-exempt and hourly staff.
- Manage annual performance and compensation reviews.
- Develop and execute build plan per build plan and sales forecast.
- Ensure all employees are properly trained.
- Fiscal responsibility for budget and plan.
- Ensure close control and monitoring of new product introductions and existing product changes.
- Maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Ensure QSR compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 7 years in operations management.
- Prior hourly production management experience.
- Proficient on computer operations including MRP, spreadsheets and other common Microsoft applications.
- Medical device manufacturing experience.
- Supply chain systems knowledge and experience.
- Cost accounting and financial reporting knowledge and experience.
- Technical acumen to grasp products being built.
- Demonstrates leadership skills.
- Other skills, including: Leadership skills, integrity to operate independently with minimal oversight, excellent intrapersonal skills, high energy, self-starter, problem solver, process oriented for continuous improvement.
