In-House Classes

Many organizations prefer APICS Education offered at their sites to assist their employees in receiving premium training. In-house training is typically more cost effective while it increases employee participation.

APICS Portland Chapter has provided in-house instruction for numerous Portland area companies including Intel, Boeing, Tektronix, Radisys, ESCO, Merix, FLIR, and many other companies.

Employers who encourage and support their employees in obtaining their CPIM or CSCP designations:

The APICS Portland Chapter offers in-house training in a variety of formats and educational course options:

  • CPIM - a five course, 135 hour program designed to prepare students for CPIM Certification Examinations
  • CSCP - a four module course, 42 hour program, designed to prepare students for CSCP Certification Examinations
  • Lean Manufacturing - a seven series workshop, 28 hour program, designed to start your company on the path to implementing Lean.
  • Fundamentals - four course series of classes designed to offer students hands-on basic training in Inventory Control, Planning, Manufacturing Controls and Operation Management
  • In addition to the above, the Portland Chapter has several specialized courses, and can modify the above courses to fit unique situations and/or applications.

Benefits of In-House Courses:

  • Your company pays one fee
  • Class size can vary but typically is limited to 30 students
  • Classes can be scheduled
    • During work or after hours
    • On weekend or weekdays
  • Students enjoy the co-worker involvement plus students can work with each other on course teachings
  • On-site paper and pencil testing can be arranged after course completion
